Seriously one of my very favorite pools ever.
It's the location.
This oasis is literally cradled by tall, swaying palms. It's quiet, with exception of the leaves rustling and the occasional coconut hurling to the ground. Blue skies, big billowy clouds... spliff and drink a short reach away.
It's just enough, and so much more.
I've stayed in this cabin enough to call it a second home. Perfect spot, overlooks the pool, everything you want or need barely steps away.
This place is perfect for regaining your sanity.
Night time on the mountain is divine. No traffic (barely a road, to be honest!), a totally peaceful vibe, the occasional domino match, drum sessions (in season), a lovely little bar, partake in a nice spliff anywhere, and the sounds of the mountain jungle.
It's amazing how deeply you can unwind when you know you're perfectly safe. No car noise, no variables... not even any snakes, no territorial critters. Nothing.

Farm to Table blends with art as you witness "The Cooking Show". Produce that was in the ground this morning is beautifully displayed cuisine on your dinner plate tonight.
Ask the chef anything as he prepares your meal right in front of you, tells you how he does it, and quizzes you on some food facts we bet you didn't know. So worth it. Included in our vacation packages.
Alecia co owns and operates the retreat with her husband, Mark. She stays involved with every aspect of the day to day operations, and she was the original chef and still guest chefs.
Chefs undergo rigorous training and must meet very high standards. The way the current chef layers various subtle flavors, all blending and complimenting one another, but still detectable on their own, is pure food genius.

The drum sessions are the real-deal and very impressive. The most uptight person in the world can't help but unwind to the rhythm and beats, Jamaican mountain air, and palm trees swaying.
Get super lucky and discover that Mark, the resort owner and host, is a hella good base player.

Our driver will pick you up, provide you with 420 provisions and refreshments, drop you off, then bring you back for a relaxing evening, including a delicious fresh, farm to table, chef prepared dinner. Meet an old friend of ours :-). Hike a nice hike up to Fy'a's place, have an authentic cultural experience, along with a totally "Ital" meal, prepared right there for you, made from veg he's grown himself. Got questions? A driver will pick you up, and he'll bring favors and a few drinks to get you through your adventure. Leave the serenity of the mountain and visit a world you didn't know still existed:
Friends, pure water gushes from about a dozen various Blue Holes in the area- all... the... time. It never stops. As you approach, it looks aqua. And white. It's aerated and whipped white with the force it creates as it breaks free of the earth. Seriously. It's amazing. The air? Freshest air I've ever experienced.
Visit the caves while you are there. Lay in the healing waters, let the water pour over your shoulders at that top pool. They'll show you.
Find the alter where Jamaicans have met and prayed for generations. These caves have stories, and should they be told, they'd be stories about survival, hiding, and emergence.
It can't get much more authentic than a grow tour and a meet and chat with a bunch of legacy growers.
Jamaicans take pride in all their crops, but none so unanimously as ganja. Talk shop with the master growers you'll be meeting, check out a variety of strains, and learn to "Roll Like a Rasta".
Whether you're curious, or a connoisseur, this side trip will be interesting, informative, and unforgettable.
Everyone can find something magical about "Wabba's Blue Hole". Whether visting solo or with a group, this is a best-bet and one not to be missed. It's truly a "crowd pleaser".
Waterfalls, mineral waters, places to explore, and the reward of a working ganja farm tour to those who climb to the top of the hill above. There's even an opportunity to jump 25 feet down to the mineral waters of the hole, for those who want to next level their visit. THere's so much to do- everyone leaves happy they went.
