Why a Travel Agent is the Best Choice for a Cannabis-Friendly Vacation- and why not every travel agent is the best choice for y-o-u.

Ok. I am the first to admit that I fall in total love with the places I visit. 

You know the place. THAT place. Maybe it's a special place from when you were a kid. Maybe it's the vacation spot where you caught your first fish. Or that special place where you'd go with your grandparents. 

Sometimes, all you need is right where you are- as is the case with Blue Skies Beach Resort, in Negril. 

The cave had been stuffy. Much, much hotter than I expected... and humid. Terribly humid. It actually was almost smothering to this unexpecting soul. And so I skipped the last pool, which fed into the cave system from the small pond nearby. Ahead, I saw sunlight- And we climbed our way towards it. 

Only thing worse than saying goodbye and wondering if you'll ever see someone again is to say goodbye, knowing you won't. And so is the case with Marley. 

What is the point of travel if not to discover the pureness, the soul... the heart of a destination? What is the purpose of going someplace beautiful, pure, exotic, rugged- whatever your paradise is, and not taking that one step further and immersing yourself and trying to understand why people tough it out centuries after centuries to live in that country. I mean, we know it as a great place to visit. But culturally, what makes that place tick?

Folks, friends- sometimes I am amazed. It's a digital world filled with people willing to speak up, willing to help. It's also a world filled with people who really don't care, but just want to weigh in. So, it boggles my mind that anyone would go on to FB looking for the right person to fetch them at Mo Bay and take them where-ever, and "bonus points" if they can hook you up, Are you serious? 

Have you ever had a bad experience smoking weed, or woken up rough with a weed hangover?  Ever go through a really tough whatever, and then find a nice joint and found it somehow made miserable almost bearable? Ever find the resources you needed to finish a task right there in a little sativa? Well, let me tell you... I have. Sure enough. And, much to my mother's disdain, my lifelong relationship with weed, cannabis, whatever you call it, has kept me away from many, many brushes with doctors offering me maintenance drugs or Xanax or drugs that were new and unproven at best.

Ladies and gentlemen, those of you who rise early, get the house stuff tackled, clean up, head out, return 8 or 9 or however many hours later and keep pushing through: YOU are my heroes.

The difference between knowing a law and knowing where you'll be accepted, served, and welcomed is totally the difference between having, at best, an ok week away, and having a great, relaxed, no stress, and non-offending  vacation. By non offending, not only am I talking about offending laws or those who enforce them, but also not offending cultural norms in a new and rapidly changing, cannabis friendly world.

The task at hand seemed dauntless. Overwhelming. Impossible, even. Offer a weed friendly website to those enlightened souls who just prefer a bit of a natural buzz on their vacations. I mean, what do you do when you have no website skills or even knowledge, no travel business experience- none. Well, you go deep, you call on your nerve and your skills, and you launch a 420 friendly travel website. That's what we did- back in 2008. Let no one call you crazy- because crazy  ideas sometimes work... and it did. Yes, we had a blast doing it, and so did everyone who took one of our vacations. And thank you.
