SOOOOO much more than skiing...

Not sure about you, but when I think of Colorado, I always think of white powder... as in ski slopes and chalets. But there's so much more to Colorado than winter frivolities!

In researching everything the great state of Colorado has to offer us cannabis lovers, I was more than Impressed. I mean, I fully expected plenty of weed tours, dispensary hops, and culinary feasts, but... I found so much more.

Things I'd love to do:

1) Historic train rides through the mountains, taking one back in time to when the west was just being opened up. Wow.

2) Hot Air Balloon festivals. How awesome! If you love photography, here's a great place to be. Ever been up in a balloon? It's surreal, and you'd love it. Me? I'd love it with a few joints in my hand. Imagine floating HIGH over the state in a gondola, gorgeous views, gorgeous balloon above. That's magical.

3) Haunted tours! Not on MY radar, but I never knew Colorado had so many to offer. I imagine the tours in the old mining towns would be pretty epic. I might even do that myself.

4) Colorado is a HUGE state- and you've got everything there. Mountains, prairies, prairie dogs, bears, wolves, birds... Fishing, hunting. Awesome photography opportunities. I remember coming off a mountain to find the traffic in the valley stopped dead. The elk were crossing, and there must have been hundreds. No one minded the wait- it was spectacular. A visit to Colorado is a visit to nature at its finest.

5) Wake and Bake- and every culinary tour you could want. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, drinks. Everything edible can be found in the Centennial State.

6) Gold mines and great history are everywhere. You can even indulge in one of my favorite pastimes: gold panning! Great for hot summer months :-).

7) The Marijuana Mansion (museum). Built in 1889, this awesome property has quite a history with the cannabis movement. It's a don't miss for any big enthusiast.

Ever try to photograph a prairie dog? They're awfully bashful. Give it a try o your visit.

Remember, too, that Colorado has a HUGE western side, and it's very worth exploring any time of the year..

Is your appetite for Colorado ignited yet? Ours is, and we'll be hitting it soon. We'll craft some awesome vacation options for you and can't wait to share.
