One never gets tired of hearing the ocean...
and there's plenty of nice spots to sit and listen. In fact, the ocean can be heard all night of you choose to leave your windows open. The beds are amazing and waking up that comfortable with the sound of the ocean that close by is something we want to get used to.
Caribbean water laps at the shore inside the resort's protected cove- which guests have all to themselves. Float to your heart's content, swim, play, explore, or go past the breakers and paddle board when seas are calm.
The resort is self contained and totally private. Some guests enjoy taking a walk through Little Bay and enjoying the friendly locals- especially the old timers, um, legacy families that have returned for years. Actually, when we stayed there, we met an awesome family from the midwest with three generations all there. They had been returning yearly for decades.
The area's got an old world Jamaica vibe to it, and it feels great being there.
When it comes to pools, the biggest is not always the best. The pool here is intimate- big enough to cool everyone off and keep them cool, small enough you can have a conversation. It's just right.
Tucked in an old coral outcrop, you'll hear the waves crashing below you as you soak up the sun- or the moon.
Perfect for floating in an inner tube at midnight. Nobody's there, the skies are magnificent, it's calm. It's almost surreal.

You'll find a bar adjacent to the pool area, too. The area comes alive at night, when herb fills the air, everyone's enjoying a cold drink, and karaoke challenges start to fly,
Jamaicans take their karaoke serious, and it's not unusual to be called upon to sing. Why not? Everyone's having a hella' lot of fun- nows the time!
If you have never experienced sound bowls, well, my friend, enjoy. Everyone's in for a special treat as you experience the grounding and healing ring from each bowl as it's stroked, alongside the waves crashing on the coral shores below. The different bowls offer different frequencies and the sounds resonate through you like they were meant to be. Grab a session.

The thatch roofed pavilion where all the specialness happens is on a coral peninsula, surrounded by cove and ocean. The setting literally melts the stress off of you. It's easy to get swept up into your yoga, the sound bowls, and the breath work. It's a wonderful spot.
All rooms are different, and there are two cabins, usually reserved for deep therapeutic patients. No two rooms are exactly alike and they're all really awesome. The beds? Super nice. Absolutely the best after a day in the sun. Pro-tip: leave the windows open and enjoy the ocean.
The on-site chef is amazing. Have the flounder with the coconut run down. Eat ala carte from the menu, or include a meal plan. There's spots to eat nearby in the little village of Little Bay, and you may eat on an adventure day away, but there's no need to venture out at all- excellent food, great company, peace, tranquility, and your favorite libations are all within steps of your private stretch of ocean.
(and I'm sorry. I ate my food instead of taking photos of it. It was delicious and I honestly devoured it. I'm gong back soon, I'll actually take pics, but rest assured, Chef Morice Lewis knows his stuff and has got the cuisine well under control!)

It can't get much more authentic than a grow tour and a meet and chat with a bunch of legacy growers.
Jamaicans take pride in all their crops, but none so unanimously as ganja. Talk shop with the master growers you'll be meeting, check out a variety of strains, and learn to "Roll Like a Rasta".
Whether you're curious, or a connoisseur, this side trip will be interesting, informative, and unforgettable.

This pic was taken at night from an I-phone and has no enhancements. Nights here are absolutely amazing. The skies seemed so bright. Of course the stars were clear, but it was something else. And beautiful.
When you leave the resort, You leave with a recharged sense of nature's amazing beauty. You leave more at peace, more centered, and rejuvenated. Which is why we're looking forward to going back. This place is good for the soul.
You've read this far, so I"m gonna' share something with you: there's another cove, just beyond the pool area to the right, that hardly anyone explores. It's calm, shallow, and quiet. I'm heading over there for a while next visit :-)
